Annie Leibovitz Cancels NYPL Talk

A few weeks ago, PDN got a schedule in the mail from the New York Public Library for a series of talks with authors and artists coming up this fall. One item caught our eye: "Photographer Annie Leibovitz appears on Monday, November 10 to discuss her new book."

For all the public interest in her work, Leibovitz herself seldom gives talks or grants interviews. We made a note to attend the library event. But when we checked today, we learned the event had been canceled. A NYPL spokesperson says the talk is on hold due to a conflict with Leibovitz's schedule and may be rescheduled in the spring.
