Cruddy Version of Vince Laforet's 5D Mark II Video Leaks Out

We just got into Cologne, Germany a few minutes ago for Photokina and are disappointed to see that Canon is still putting the wraps on the impressive test "commercial" Vincent Laforet has shot using the new Canon 5D Mark II's HD video feature. We gave you an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the making of this video on Saturday and notice from Vince's blog that there's been an incredible amount of interest in his on-the-fly 5D Mark II project. (Nearly 400 comments the last time we checked.)

We've seen the video and think it's spectacular and hope Canon will loosen the reins a bit and let this thing get out to the public. It can only help generate more interest in the 5D Mark II. In the mean time, we have to settle for cruddy-looking leaks of Laforet's commercial including this one which was filmed off a laptop. (Honestly, we've seen better-looking bootlegs in Times Square.)
