Video: Obama Photographer Self-Destructs
At a Barack Obama campaign speech in Ohio Tuesday, a news photographer apparently named John Quinn loudly interrupted the senator and declared that the event should have started with the Pledge of Allegiance. Obama stopped his speech and asked the photographer to lead the group in the Pledge, which he did. The rest of the press then grilled the man with questions. Awkward!
The Chronicle of Higher Education reports that Quinn was shooting for Bloomberg News and will shoot for them no more.
This appears to be Quinn's online portfolio, and it's a pretty good bet this is his Web site.
The Cleveland Plain Dealer has video of the incident (also seen above), Blogger Interrupted has more video, and WTAM has audio.
On Sportsshooter, one photographer astutely deems Quinn's stunt a CLM ("Career Limiting Move").

Someone clearly needs a vacation or a hug.

How bizzare. It's probably beyond vacations or hugs. On another note the affectations of those people who were seated behind Obama and realized they were being filmed was cute.

Just another Canon shooter gone bad; quite sad really. If only he had picked up a D3 sooner, he wouldn't have been so grumpy.

I noticed someone in the press corps there was using the original clamshell iBook.
Good advert for Apple that a computer can still be out in the field in commercial service after 8 years or so...
