The Wrath Of Cannes

Ok, it's a bad pun, but a fun event. This Thursday, there is an alternative advertising festival taking place, The Wrath of Cannes that is a direct rival to the main event happening right now in Cannes. True the location is not as glamorous as the French Rivera, but Cha-Cha's Club Atlantis in Coney Island New York has its own rugged charm. The invite that fell into our in box summed it up like this: Why not join the rest of us outcasts, exiles and underdesirables? Why not indeed. The entry process in simple: all junior creatives are encouraged to bring their best work on a thumb drive. An estemed panel of judges will select the lucky winner who will be awarded a brand new bike, along with the one and only Grand Coney, a trophy of a man with his head up his nether regions.

Those who can, go to Cannes. Those who can't, go to Coney!
