Paul H-O, dates Cindy Sherman, whines about it.
Get over it Paul H-O! I have not seen his documentary Guest of Cindy Sherman but in this Salon story and video interview we hear him talk about his five year relationship with photographer Cindy Sherman and how he stayed at the W hotel! ( mentioned twice in the piece) but ultimately he came to " know what it feels like to be the wife" and how he "was not satisfied in that position". The Salon video beautifully edits in a clip of Paul on a radio talk show with two women who ask " What's your problem?".
So I too ask, Paul, dude, what's your problem?

No, no, no, he's actually more endearing and self-deprecating in the doc than you'd think. Why Sherman would denounce her participation in the film screams of hype-building, if you ask me; she doesn't come across negatively at all, and Paul H-O never blames her onscreen. Unexpectedly great film!

I agree with the previous comment - I think the movie is funny, engaging and puts Sherman and her work in a very positive light.
It is also an interesting documentary about the evolution of the art scene in NYC from DIY to big business/marketing.
he does not blame her and there is some real good footage.
to the reviewer I suggest to watch the movie before making judgments.
I think Paul H-O deserves to have his own show,

I am going to see the film at the Mill Valley Film Festival in California on October 11, 2008. Paul is an old friend (of almost 40 years) and he is NOT a whiner. I am really looking forward to the film.
Paul is a very talented man, I watched him grow artistically for years in California. I always expected he would have a successful career, due to his talent.
As for (Mr.Ms?) Fijol, yes, please go see the film before you have the temerity to criticize it!
