Jury: Photogs Share Blame For Diana Death

A British jury has found that Princess Diana's death in a car accident was the result of negligence on the part of the car's driver and the paparazzi photographers who were chasing her. Here's the AP story on the verdict.

Today's jury verdict was the result of a British coroner's inquest. The purpose was to determine how Diana and boyfriend Dodi Fayed died, not to assign blame.

The Diana case has been investigated endlessly since 1997. In 2006, a French court charged three photographers who pursued Diana with invasion of privacy and levied a symbolic fine of 1 Euro.
