Photo Puzzle: President Clinton And Rev. Wright
The inflammatory rhetoric of Barack Obama's pastor, Rev. Jeremiah Wright, became topic A of the campaign this week. Obama's opponents capitalized on videos of Wright's anti-American sermons, and Obama used the controversy as a opening to deliver a well-received speech on race in America.
Which brings us to the photo above. Last night, several Web sites published a photo showing President Clinton shaking hands with Rev. Wright at a breakfast in 1998. The New York Times says it obtained the photo from the Obama campaign; Politico's Ben Smith found it on an anonymous blog.
Fine, fine. But if you read this blog often, you know my question: Who shot it? We have some clues: Black-and-white, White House, September 1998. Guesses welcome.
For a closer look, here's a link to a high-res grab via Politico.
