Longtime AP Photographer Charles Tasnadi Dies
Charles Tasnadi, who photographed seven U.S. presidents as over three decades as an Associated Press photographer, has died at age 82. The AP reports that he died Thursday following a stroke.
Among his memorable photographs are one of President Nixon checking his watch while shaking hands, President Johnson showing an incision from a recent surgery, and an animated Fidel Castro speaking in 1989. Tasnadi retired in 1996.
Tasnadi received a Lifetime Achievement award from The White House News Photographers Association in 1996.
