Getty Offers 15% Off Everything All Year

Getty Images has just launched an eye-catching (and — warning! — music-playing) political microsite for the 2008 election.

At the bottom of the site, you'll find this announcement:

Obviously feeling some pricing pressure, Getty appears to be offering 15% off all its photos and footage for the next 12 months. It's the first time I've ever noticed an across-the-board promotion like this from Getty. I tested the code on a couple of creative stock images, and it worked for everything — not just political images or editorial uses. All the customer needs to know is XH7PC46N.

UPDATE: In response to an e-mail I sent, a Getty spokeperson writes: "While the discount does apply to all photo and footage collections, the promotion code on the political microsite was developed specifically for customers involved in the 2008 political campaign since their budgets are hard pressed and most ads air for a short period of time. Getty Images often offers discounts through specific promotions and this is simply one such example. The team is updating the language on the site to reflect the intention of the discount."
